Fire Advisory - August 11, 2025

Saddle Hills County has downgraded the Fire Restriction to a FIRE ADVISORY. A Fire Advisory is also in effect for the Grande Prairie Forest Area. 

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is limited to campfires, burning barrels, and hand-piled wood, two cubic metres or smaller.

Burn permits are still required and will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

The Fire Advisory will remain in effect until conditions improve.

Rural Address Sign Request

As a landowner in Saddle Hills County you can request a rural address sign for your residence or cabin free of charge. Landowners need to put in the request but signs can be installed at rental properties.

A rural address sign helps first responders locate your property in the event of an emergency, helping to minimize delays in response times and improve safety for all.
