Water Cistern Subsidy Program

Saddle Hills County

As per policy PW 29, Saddle Hills County will subsidize up to 75 percent (%) of the cost associated with the purchase and installation for residential use of water cisterns and related expenses for a maximum subsidy of $5,000.00 per residence.

This subsidy is available only on an individual residence basis. If more than one residence exists on the property in question, then each residence will require a separate application.

Please be advised that the Cistern Subsidy Application will be numbered in sequence and dealt with on a first come first served basis. In order to qualify for the Subsidy, the applicant requires pre-approval from Saddle Hills County prior to proceeding with the purchase and/or installation of a cistern and related components.

Upon completion of installation, the County reserves the right to independently verify the scope of work performed prior to releasing the subsidy funds.

By submitting this form, the applicant acknowledges that the payment of the subsidy amount to the Applicant will be contingent upon the Applicant submitting to Saddle Hills County copies of valid receipts along with proof of payment for the water cistern and other related expenses for the installation; and the applicant agrees to follow / comply with all applicable regulations (if any), regarding the installation and use of cisterns for potable household water supply. The Applicant and the owner acknowledge and agree that , the County is not responsible in any way regarding the installation or use of a water cistern or related components for which subsidy funds are provided.
