Fire Advisory - August 11, 2025

Saddle Hills County has downgraded the Fire Restriction to a FIRE ADVISORY. A Fire Advisory is also in effect for the Grande Prairie Forest Area. 

Controlled burning in the Non-Forest Protection Area, including on privately-owned land, is limited to campfires, burning barrels, and hand-piled wood, two cubic metres or smaller.

Burn permits are still required and will be issued on a case-by-case basis. Large fuel burns will not be permitted at this time.

With the provincial de-regulation of Fusarium Graminerium, Saddle Hills County is still interested in monitoring disease levels within the County.

Saddle Hills County is offering producers the opportunity to request sampling and testing of their cereal crops at no cost.

If you are a producer interested in having your field sampled and tested, please fill out the following form.
