Fenceline Spraying Agreement

Saddle Hills County

I/we, the landowner, grant permission for Saddle Hills County Agricultural Services Department to apply herbicide within the property listed below, for the control of noxious weeds, prohibited noxious weeds and/or brush (brush less than 2 meters in height) along the perimeter of the property, within the fence-line adjacent to a developed road right-of-way.

I/we hereby:

• Understand that the County will attempt to keep herbicide applications from
  encroaching further than 2 meters onto private land, that broad-leaved vegetation will
  die, and that some desirable plants, grasses and crops may be harmed;
• Understand that applications may take place via boom equipped spray truck, ATV or
  hand gun spot spray unit;
• Understand that herbicides will be avoided within 30 horizontal metres of domestic use
  dugouts, shelterbelts, residences, or common bodies of water;
• Understand that applications will be performed from roadside to avoid driving on lands,
  unless terrain only allows from inside the property line, and if spraying from inside the
  property, equipment will be brought in clean to prevent the introduction of weeds and
  pests;
• Understand applications will be made on a selective basis for noxious and prohibited
  noxious weed control and brush less than 2 meters in height;
• Understand that registered herbicides as recommended by the Agricultural Fieldman
  are to be used;
• Understand that some herbicides may have residual properties for up to 5 years;
• Agree to identify any areas where I/we do not wish to have spraying take place;
• Agree to notify the County of changes to ownership or occupancy of the lands listed in
  on this agreement;
• Agree that this Agreement will remain effective in the year it is signed or until cancelled
  by the landowner or by the County in writing;
• Recognize that I/we have received product label document;
• Declare that I understand the effects and I agree to save harmless and indemnify the
  County of Saddle Hills, its employees and agents from and against all actions, suits,
  claims and demands arising in any manner whatsoever from activities associated with
  said herbicide application.

Protection of Privacy - The personal information requested on this form is collected under the authority of Section 33 (c) of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be protected under Part 2 of that Act. It will be used for the purpose of informing spraying activity and fenceline spraying areas in Saddle Hills County.
